Adaptive learning unit for the self-study phase on dimensioning, fits and tolerances in design theory

About this Content OER

This course provides a template to help educators develop their own courses on dimensions, fits and tolerances in engineering design using effective learning content.
The course consists of an initial test, four lessons and a final test. The lessons build on each other and offer sequential unlocking for optimal learning progress. The materials are intended for the students' self-study phase. They also provide feedback on learning progress. The content is intended as a supplement to a lecture or exercise.
This course can be used as a basis on which to develop a more advanced concept for a self-study phase. However, it can also be used in its original form.

Goals

For educators:

  • Didactic implementation of self-study phases and content
    Practical tips for technical implementation

For students:

  • Checking the level of knowledge
    Support for the self-learning phase
Learning about dimensioning, fits and tolerances in design theory
