Multilingualism

This learning module is about the diversity of languages and how this is dealt with at school. The first part focuses on the importance of languages for people. With the help of a language silhouette, you can graphically represent the languages you speak and compare them with others.

The second part of the learning module deals with multilingualism at school. German is a very important language of instruction at school. In addition, there are traditional foreign language lessons and bilingual school concepts. In Germany, there is also the goal of including and valuing the other languages that pupils speak in their families in schools. The learning module provides an overview of these topics with five short texts and a quiz.

The module includes an explanatory video, a worksheet and reflection tasks as well as five short texts and a final quiz. The quiz consists of eight questions and relates to the short texts.
